Adyan Mart’s CEO arrested

Rapid Action Battalion-6 (RAB) has arrested four people, including chief executive officer (CEO) of e-commerce company Adyan Marteo Zubair Siddiqui, in a case of embezzling customer’s money.

They were arrested from Khulna and Chuadanga around 12pm on Friday (October 29).


Earlier, RAB raided the head office of Adyan Marte from noon to 8 pm. This information was given by Major Mohammad Shariful Ahsan, Company Commander of Jhenaidah (CPC 2) RAB-6 at a press briefing on Saturday (October 30) at around 10:30 am.


Major Mohammad Shariful Ahsan, company commander of Jhenaidah RAB-6 camp, told BTC News that Adyan Mart, an e-commerce company in Chuadanga, had been attracting the general public through various offers. They swindled around Tk 6 crore in the name of supplying goods. Atiqur Rahman Ujjwal, a victim of fraud, filed a case against the company at Chuadanga Sadar Police Station on Friday (October 29) for embezzling Tk 18,52,480.


After filing the case, RAB-7 based on secret information from Chuadanga and Khulna, CEO of the organization Chuadanga Sadar Upazila Nilmoniganj Bazar Abu Bakkar Siddiqui’s son Jubayer Siddiqui Manik (30) and General Manager Masud Siddiqui Ratan (26) of the same area died. Abul Hossain’s son Abu Bakkar Siddiqui and Matiar Rahman’s son Minarul Islam were arrested. They will be handed over to Chuadanga Sadar Police Station.


He added that the e-commerce company Adyan Mart was established in February 2020. From the very beginning, the company attracts the public through various offers. At present, their product deficit is around Tk 7-8 crore. For several months, they shut down their organization’s customer care activities.

At present they have about 1800 invoice orders left. A vigilante expedition team from RAB-7’s Gangni camp started a shadow investigation into the case from the very beginning. After investigation, they were arrested from Khulna and Chuadanga on Friday.
